Treatment for Vaginal Yeast Infection

My first treatment for vaginal yeast infection, I'm sure, was brought on by my desire to be sexy: I would lounge around for an hour in my scented bubble bath and then shimmy into my lacy panties. I never thought that this would bring me, or my boyfriend, anything but pleasure. Apparently it also brought me a treatment for vaginal yeast infection.

I noticed something in those panties last month though that was anything but sexy. If I had used my panties as a sieve for cheese curds, then maybe I wouldn't have been so surprised by the white, curd-like discharge, but obviously that didn't happen. I don't cook. Any treatment for vaginal yeast infection will advise you that these are the first symptoms to look for.

When a burning and itching sensation within my vagina followed, that's when I started to panic. I had never had to use a treatment for vaginal yeast infection before. I had never felt anything like it, and I could barely leave the house due to the itching. It would take just one person to notice me scratching my privates before a rumor spread all over campus that I had crabs! I knew I would need a treatment for vaginal yeast infection.

I knew that I shouldn't just assume that it was a simple treatment for vaginal yeast infection, but I was ruling out an STD based on the fact that my boyfriend and I have always practiced safe sex. He's more fanatical about it than I am; too many stories from his frat brothers to scare him stiff (or un-stiff?) Plus, I've known a friend or two to have yeast infections, and from what I remember, these were the annoying symptoms. I just couldn't remember what caused them.

#2 Treatment for Vaginal Yeast Infection

According to a reliable site on the Internet, yeast infections were attributed to the yeast, Candida albicans, growing in more numbers than typically found in the vagina. This happens when the bacteria in the vagina becomes imbalanced. The vagina often reacts with a creamy, cheese-like (but not smelly) discharge, it can become painful or uncomfortable to urinate or have sex, and the vagina and its surrounding area can turn red, accompanied by swelling and burning.

When I read how to avoid future yeast infections, that's when I figured out my bath ritual was responsible. The site suggested avoiding scented products like bubble bath, sprays, pads and tampons, and cotton panties were the preferred material, not synthetic fibers. Another habit of mine that was a no-no was to change out of exercise clothes and wet swimsuits as soon as possible. It's a wonder that this was my first yeast infection since I was guilty of all three! There was no way I was giving up my bathing ritual, but I guessed it would be easy enough to find non-scented bubble bath and sexy cotton lingerie. Anything to avoid another treatment for vaginal yeast infection.

#3 Treatment for Vaginal Yeast Infection

The way to treat this infection varies, but the fastest way was what I was looking for---I wanted this gone by yesterday. Rather than buy an anti-fungal medicine, I came across another site that featured an all-natural remedy: www.candida-away.com This site explained the medical research behind the cure, and the easy, downloadable book was easier than driving to the drug store. By the time my specialty bubble bath arrived via US Mail, my infection was cured, thanks to this on-line resource.
